Are you interested in motorcycle races? Then it wouldn’t be a bad idea checking some motorcycle racing games as well. This type of video game is for the ones who enjoy an adrenaline rush and like to familiarize with as many famous bikes as possible. Plus it’s safer than riding a motorcycle or being in the first line near a track where racers pass by at dizzying speeds. Here are 7 successful titles:
1. Project Gotham Racing 4
Project Gotham Racing 4 is the fourth title in the Project Gotham Racing series. The game, developed by Bizarre Creations and published by Microsoft Game Studios, was released in October 2007, featuring both single player and multiplayer mode. PGR4 features more than 130 vehicles, and is the first game in the series to introduce motorcycles. The game has received mostly favorable reviews, and Official Xbox Magazine UK gave it a perfect ten. It’s an excellent choice if you love virtual speed and want to have the possibility of switching between cars and bikes within the same game.
2. Ride
A motorcycle-only racing video game, Ride has been developed and published by an Italian company, Milestone S.r.l. Ride is considered a unique motorcycle experience that bike lovers will appreciate for reproducing so well the world of motorcycling. With this game you have access to the most successful bike models from famous manufacturers, and you can customize your motorcycle with all kinds of accessories and components. What makes the game even more diverse is that you can choose between 15 different tracks from all over the world, which gives Ride an international feel. 3. MTBFreeride
What makes this game different from others is the realistic feel – with MTBFreeride you cannot do unrealistic jumps which would be impossible in reality. Moreover, the game offers a first person perspective which makes the gaming experience breathtaking. MTBFreeride is provided both in single-player and multiplayer mode. Also released in 2015, the game’s main strengths are the excellent game controls and the superior graphics. Keep in mind that you’re talking about a mountain bike simulator, so be prepared for strong sensations.
4. Grand Theft Auto V
Another game featuring multiple types of vehicles, GTA V was the fastest-selling entertainment product in history – it earned $800 million in the first day and $1 billion in the first three days. It is also considered one of the best games ever made. Most critics have reviewed GTA V positively, and also caused controversy because of its depiction of women and including torture in its game story. The first release of GTA V was in September 2013 for PlayStation 3. The game is set in the fictional state of San Andreas and its protagonist follows three criminals on behalf of a government agency. Players can choose between first-person and third-person view, and can explore the world on foot or by vehicle, including motorcycle. The influence of previous projects, such as Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption can be observed in this famous game developed by Rockstar North.

5. MotoGP3
This title is definitely preferred by Grand Prix fans, who like to see limits pushed to the maximum. An older game released in 2003, MotoGP3 was developed by Namco for PlayStation 2. Both single player and multiplayer modes are available and used as inspiration the 2002 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. The game’s predecessors were MotoGP and MotoGP 2, but the third and most successful installment in the series has more tracks than the first and second one. Real world courses like Mugello, Motegi, Paul Ricard, and Philip Island Grand Prix Circuit are featured, and some models one can virtually ride in MotoGP3 are Yamaha YZR500 and Honda NSR500.
6. Racing Moto
Games developed for smartphone as apps have been extremely popular in the last years, and one of the motorcycle racing games developed for mobile devices is Racing Moto. Of course, the game is not realistic since you could never drive that fast in the real world, especially at traffic rush time. The perspective is third person and one of the features that have determined users to give this game more than 4 starts out of 5 on averages is the method for controlling motorcycle direction – by tilting the phone sideways.
